I've been thinking about it for awhile, and I thought why not? It's fun, we can make friends with fellow artists, and we can make good art!

I introduce to you The Original Character Set Project!

What is this Original Character Set Project?

It would be a collection of pinups of OCs, with a uniform theme/concept/factor from everyone (who wants to join). And I will feature those OC pinups.

This sets must have something in common. If you want to have them in the same uniform, go! But all your pictures must have 1 or more common thing in each picture. That's the challenge of this OC Set Project.

I don't get it! Give me an example!

A good example would be my first OC set.

All of them are my characters from SDL (see RoninsUltramix ). Their base sizes are 800x600, resized to 150dpi. They have the same concept of a character in a dynamic or striking pose with their weapons, and a background concept of seasons.

Your characters doesn't have to be in a same 'series' or story. The idea is to compose a set a pictures with something in common in them.

Did I get your attention now?

You don't need to join if you'll just find it as a burden! It's for fun! And it's not a fanart thing as well, because you're going to draw your own characters. Not Fan characters, not other people's characters. Your characters.

It's not a contest. It also has no deadline, so if you want to join, you don't have to worry about hurrying on submitting your pictures. Remember, this project is to do something fun.
Wouldn't it be enough compensation to have a happy, satisfied feeling when you accomplished a job well done? :D

What are the Rules? Guidelines?

- You shouldn't force yourself to join if you don't find this interesting or fun.
- The OCs that you're going to illustrate shouldn't be fan characters.
- Avoid drawing other people's OCs. But if your set theme is for example, Characters from your original stories and your friend has a collab character there, be sure to ask for permission first before using and drawing that character.
- It wouldn't be  a set if it's just one picture- so it has to be two or more pictures in one set
- You should draw only 1 character per picture.
- They all have to be in the same dimensions though. (Example: when you started with a 550x700px picture with your first submission in 1 set, the rest of the pictures for that set should be of the same sizes. 550x700px )
- You don't really have to have a specific skill level or art style, but you have to put effort on it. Don't submit a doodle, because I will not accept it.
- Each set should have a specific theme, concept or just have something in common
- A submitting artist can have as much sets as s/he wants. As long as when he starts a set, s/he'll finish it.

How do I Join and Submit?

Just note ryuuen your thumbnails of OC pinups with the Title OC Set Project. If you are drawing a set from a certain story or yours, include it in the note as well. Then I'll feature it in my journal :D

If you have questions, you can post it here in this journal, or visit me in my chatroom.

Let's all have a fun time creating art! :D
